Set in the picturesque Norfolk Broads, Waveney River Centre boasts a beautiful riverside setting and access to its own private marina. The centre also holds the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation, which should be enough indication to anyone of the natural beauty that this destination provides for holidaymakers.

As well as offering a fantastically tranquil and peaceful setting, the centre has some fantastic facilities available, making this a fantastic base from which to explore the delights of the Norfolk Broads. Visitors to the park can take advantage of the fantastic indoor heated swimming pool, which ensures that you will have something to do even if the weather outside is rather unsavory.

If, on the other hand, the conditions are right, the park also provides day cruiser hire- giving visitors the chance to explore the stunning majesty of the broads via the tranquil waterways. For visitors who would rather chill out than walk the broads, the park has a number of indoor facilities, such as a sauna, a spa, a games room and family bar, and a fantastic wildflower garden.

There is also plenty for the kids to do, with an adventure tower and children’s play area. For a spot of food or a relaxing drink, the Waveney Inn offers a welcoming atmosphere in which you can relax and unwind. Away from the park itself, you can explore the nearby town of Beccles, which features some fantastic views of Broadland, as well as a number of diverse shops with a weekly market and a number of restaurants.

There is also the chance to take in the atmosphere of the town’s busy quayside. A bit further afield is the historic city of Norwich, which has a huge number of different shops, restaurants and sights to see. Waveney River Centre also hires out bikes, so you can explore the area at your own pace, and discover places that you might not be able to reach in the car.
