All the views of the lake are splendid and you need only pop out your front door to begin your explorations of the stunning scenery, albeit carved up by steep areas that might make life difficult for wheelchair users and other patrons with mobility problems.

Alternatively, hiking, climbing and gentle strolling are all perfectly worthy pursuits in this undeniably special part of Cumbria.
